Who Are We

AGT is managed by an Executive Director. The organization is run by an Executive Board consisting of the President, President-Elect, Past President, and Secretary / Treasurer. The remainder of the Board of Directors (BOD) is composed of a Public Relations Director, Membership Director, Education Director, and Annual Meeting Director.

Additionally, the association has a Council of Representatives (COR). These individuals represent AGT with other organizations. AGT currently has representatives to the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Pathologist’s Board of Certification (BOC), the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Personnel (NAACLS), the Foundation for Genetic Technology (FGT), the Coordinating Council on the Clinical Laboratory Workforce (CCCLW), and the College of American Pathologists/American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (CAP/ACMG). Individuals are elected to serve on the BOD and appointed as representatives for the COR.

Beyond these positions, AGT has a number of volunteers that serve on various committees and task forces. These individuals work alongside the BOD and COR to ensure the association is meeting the needs of its members. Please visit the volunteer page to see the current projects underway.
