GEMs: A subcommittee of AGT that was established to create a forum for genetic educators and mentors to discuss common issues.
The subcommittee typically holds a virtual meeting in early June each year allowing educators to provide updates on their programs and discuss shared changes, challenges, and concerns related to Cytogenetic and Molecular Genetic education.
In addition, the group hosts a face-to-face meet and greet gathering in conjunction with the Joint Annual Meeting held each summer. All meeting attendees involved in education and training of genetic technologists are welcome.
